Time is the scarcest resource; and unless it is managed, nothing else can
be managed.
- Peter F. Drucker
The up-side of being INFP is that I'm generally comfortable with open-endedness and don't usually live in fear when I don't have a schedule. I can also rely on myself to have enough of the big picture to adapt creatively to situations as they arise. But if these tendencies become unbalanced, I become unstuck.
Luckily, where I work, there are people in management who are very good with schedules and I benefit from their efforts. I have just organised my jobs for the next ten weeks around a schedule that someone else produced and I feel secure in the boundaries. I know where the time I have begins and ends and it is just for me to divide it up to suit myself.
If you don't have one of these people where you work, here are two tips:
1. Become your own CEO to put some boundaries in place for yourself.
2. Become your own secretary to fill in all the details.
Just do this periodically, lest you go mad!
Today I give praise to the TJs, for they show FPs the way to function in an organisation.
